Institute of Leadership: partnered with Confidence+

The Institute of Leadership is the professional membership body for an active, international community of over 50,000 leaders, managers, coaches and mentors – but they’re much more than a professional body. The Institute create world–class tools, deliver award–winning e–learning and undertake practical research to help unlock individual leadership potential.

The Founders and John Mark Williams, CEO of the Institute of Leadership.

After a successful meeting with John Mark Williams, the CEO of The Institute of Leadership, the three Founders of the programme (third year University of Worcester Law students Ellie Malek, Avielle Larbi and Harpreet Kaur Chahal) secured The Institute’s support. This ranges from access to resources such as funding, venues and their recognised programme accreditation to building solid relationships with those involved with The Institute who offer their knowledge to aid the development of the scheme.

Because of this thriving relationship and our shared vision of supporting young leaders, everybody that completes Confidence+ becomes a student member of The Institute, acquiring The Institute’s developmental tools as a result.

STAR Procurement

STAR Procurement initially engaged with us through the LGA Shared Service Expert Programme. Through this, we supported the client through significant changes to its shared services, including onboarding a new partner, a new staffing structure and looking at future growth options.

We also supported STAR Procurement in reviewing its existing shared service operations, and our training and expertise helped its leadership team articulate how to improve the existing shared service and ensure it is sustainable and fully prepared for future growth.

Several staff also took part in the Collaborative Business Management Programme. The programme was structured, covering five bespoke modules, with tools and templates to help bring academic research and theory into practice within a shared services environment.

Nichola Cooke, Assistant Director of STAR Procurement, said: “Our leadership and experience have grown exponentially through the natural evolvement of growing a shared service, but this training enhanced our ability to lead confidentially and in a more structured way to ensure our approach is robust and delivers the very best outcomes.”
